A varied collection of unrelated Shaker material. Included are record books, minute books, hymns and music, accounting records, Shaker writings, personal correspondence, inventories, maps and Shaker seed catalogues. The material does not represent one particular Shaker community, although a significant percentage of the material originated at the Mount Lebanon society. Of particular interest are seven writings called "inspired writings" which are of a semi religious nature.
